Divina Seguros and Valencia CF continue supporting families and children from football schools affected by the flash floods
The company provides insurance at no cost to over a thousand young players from football schools in the affected towns
Valencia CF, the Fundació VCF, and Divina Seguros, the club’s official insurer, continue their efforts under the ‘UNITS COM SEMPRE’ solidarity initiative, aiming to revitalize sports activities for young footballers impacted by the DANA storm on October 29.
As part of this commitment, more than a thousand children from these football schools now have free insurance coverage, provided by Divina Seguros. The policy includes private healthcare coverage for both accidents and illnesses.
A helping hand for young players
According to Adrián Martínez, Commercial and Marketing Director of Divina Seguros, the goal is clear:
“We want to provide additional healthcare coverage to offer solutions when kids need them. When there’s a problem, there should be a solution. That’s what we aimed for—to ensure that these children are always covered and can continue playing football.”
To help them get back to training as soon as possible, Valencia CF has opened its Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna to football clubs from the #EscolesVCF program affected by the DANA.
Fernando Martínez, Sporting Director of the Valencia CF Footballers’ Association, highlighted the importance of resuming activities quickly:
“The kids were eager to get back to training and playing as soon as possible to forget about everything that happened. Many coaches and players have been directly affected.”
One of the clubs benefiting from this initiative is FBCD Catarroja. Óscar Banacloy, President of the club’s youth academy, expressed gratitude:
“Thanks to Valencia CF, we’ve had the chance to bring several teams to train at Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna twice a week. At least they have top-quality facilities to continue playing sports. We are a family, and we had to help each other.”
A longstanding commitment to solidarity
Divina Seguros joined the ‘UNITS COM SEMPRE’ initiative in December, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the recovery of grassroots football in the region. As Valencia CF’s official insurer, Divina Seguros is one of the main collaborators in this solidarity effort.
