Valencia CF will take on FC Cartagena in the second round of the 2025–26 Copa del Rey, following the draw held on Tuesday morning at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas. The tie will be decided in a single match, to be played between December 2 and 4 at the Estadio Cartagonova.
Throughout its history, Valencia CF has lifted the Copa del Rey trophy eight times: in 1941, 1949, 1954, 1967, 1979, 1999, 2008, and 2019.
It is worth noting that Valencia CF has already faced the Cartagena side in the Round of 32 of both the 2021–22 and 2023–24 editions of the Copa del Rey.
FC Cartagena, a team currently competing in Group II of the Primera RFEF, reached this second round of the competition after defeating Salerm Puente Genil in the first round.
