Thierry Rendall chatted to VCF Media after the final whistle of the game against Real Betis.
WANTING MORE
“We knew Betis are a great team, but we went out there to win. It wasn't possible, but we have to focus on the next match.”
THE SUPPORT OF THE FANS
“Mestalla is always very important for us, the fans always really motivate us, and today was just another game like that.”
REACTING
“Despite the setback, we were able to struggle through, we were strong, and we went in search of the equaliser. After drawing level, we pushed forward and tried to win the game.”
TACTICAL VARIATIONS
“The coach started to get us to play out from the back with three defenders and the central midfielder, and I think it helped us a lot.”
GETTING BACK ON THE PACE
“The coach spoke to me before the match and showed me that, game after game, I'm accumulating more minutes. I'm handling the physical fatigue better and I think I'm gaining rhythm.”
KEEPING IMPROVING
“I have one more week to work hard and be ready for the next match against Levante.”
