More than a million kilos of food and basic necessities collected at Mestalla
Valencia CF and the Banco de Alimentos thank citizens who have made donations and collaborated in areas affected by the DANA weather phenomenon
Valencia CF and the Banco de Alimentos food bank have worked together during the DANA catastrophe that has hit the Valencia region, to help the citizens of the most severely affected municipalities during this time of emergency.
The club opened Mestalla to the public as a drop-off point for food and basic necessities, and the response from Valencia CF fans and the rest of society has been massive. Society has united to aid those in need, with the players from the Valencia CF first team, VCF Femenino and the VCF Academy joining in the efforts.
From Wednesday, October 30th, to Sunday, November 3rd, more than one million kilograms of food and basic necessities (1,056,750 kg) have been received at Mestalla thanks to the collaboration of hundreds of citizens, plus volunteers from Valencia CF, the Banco de Alimentos and CaixaBank, and have been distributed to the most affected municipalities.
THANK YOU!
Once the operation at Mestalla has concluded, anyone who wishes to make donations of food and basic necessities should do so through the Banco de Alimentos.
