Valencia CF academy graduate Rodrigo Gamón spoke to the media after making his first-team debut in a 3-0 victory over CD Eldense in the club's opening match of the 2026–27 preseason.

Debut with the first team

Just look at the smile on my face. I've been waiting for this moment for a long time, and with hard work every day, anything is possible. But I haven't achieved anything yet—now it's about keeping my feet on the ground and continuing to move forward.

Position on the pitch

Wherever Óscar Sánchez plays me for VCF Mestalla or Carlos Corberán plays me in the first team, I'll work hard and do my very best to help the team achieve positive results.

We have to keep this momentum going. We played a great game in both the first and second halves. We need to keep building because this is only the beginning.
