Renzo Saravia joins Kempes, Aimar, ‘Piojo’ López, Pellegrino, Piatti, Vietto, Barrenechea and Beltrán
The Córdoba-born player made his Valencia CF debut
The Argentine full-back (Córdoba), Renzo Saravia, played his first minutes in a Valencia CF jersey on Tuesday afternoon, April 21, 2026, at Estadi Mallorca Son Moix against RCD Mallorca.
“I’m happy on a personal level for the debut. I was very eager to make my debut with this great jersey and this great Club. It was a difficult match, against an opponent with great players. I grew into the game as it went on, I have much more to give and I will keep improving to get an opportunity in the next matches,” Renzo said to VCF Media Radio microphones after the final whistle.
Saravia joined Valencia CF in February following his spell at Atlético Mineiro in the Brazilian Serie A during the 24-25 season, in which he made 31 appearances (19 in the Serie A Betano, 8 in the CONMEBOL Sudamericana and 2 in the Mineiro 1). Yesterday, on Matchday 33 of LALIGA EA SPORTS 25-26, he got the opportunity to make his debut against RCD Mallorca. The Córdoba-born player played 87 minutes after coming on for Thierry in the 11th minute.
The Argentine player joins the list of Córdoba-born footballers who have defended the Valencia CF crest throughout history. Kempes leads a list that includes names such as Aimar, Claudio López, Pellegrino, Piatti, Vietto, Enzo Barrenechea and, most recently, Lucas Beltrán.
