“That’s where I am, working on the project with the children, and it’s going very well.”
Fenoll: “Valencia CF will have to rely on quality and courage to beat Burgos CF at El Plantío”
The former Valencia CF and Burgos CF player features on l’Informatiu on VCF MEDIA Radio
Emilio Fenoll played for Valencia CF from the 1982/83 season to 1992/93 (206 appearances, scoring 70 goals). He later signed for Real Burgos CF - now Burgos CF - and spent two seasons at the club. The former player featured on l’Informatiu on VCF MEDIA Radio to speak about the upcoming Copa del Rey Round of 16 match between the two sides.
Copa del Rey tie
“It will be a complicated match because El Plantío is a very enclosed stadium, with pressure, narrow, and Burgos CF will press a lot. Valencia CF will have to rely on quality and courage to get through the tie. In Burgos it is always very cold and the pitch is usually frozen.”
The most recent match between the two clubs at Mestalla was in 1992
“I remember it. The fans applauded me when I came off. I remember it very fondly. We lost 5–0 against Valencia CF. Tendillo arrived midway through the season. We lived together in the same apartment.”
Burgos CF
“They have a combative team. They knocked out Getafe CF. It will not be easy for Valencia CF. Organised attacks will be difficult to execute. The Burgos CF players will be highly motivated, together with their fans.”
