The Asturian winger ranks fourth, only behind Juan Mata, Paco Alcácer, and Santi Mina
With his goal against Real Sociedad on Matchday 1, Diego López has placed himself among the youngest Valencia CF players to reach 15 goals in LALIGA so far this century.
In this historical ranking, Juan Mata leads the list, having achieved the milestone at 20 years and 356 days. He is followed by Paco Alcácer (21 years and 246 days) and Santi Mina (21 years and 347 days). The forward from Turón sits in fourth place, confirming his steady growth in the first team.

Diego López is now in his fifth season with the senior squad, with whom he recently renewed his contract until June 2029. He made his debut on August 29, 2022 against Atlético de Madrid at Mestalla and scored his first goal for the first team on May 21, 2023 against Real Madrid. Since then, he has played 92 official matches, recording 17 goals and 13 assists.
At just 23 years old, he has established himself as an important player for Carlos Corberán’s team and also for the Spain U-21 national side, with whom he took part in this summer’s European Championship. In addition, in 2024 he celebrated winning the Olympic gold medal at the Paris Games with the Spanish national team.
