Danjuma: "I'm confident about what we can do this season"

Valencia CF forward Arnaut Danjuma spoke to the media after the 1-1 draw against Stoke City FC in the preseason.

“I think we were very much in control during the first half; we played well and created chances to win the match. Stoke City didn't manage to create many, and the goal they scored was a bit lucky. The result is a fair one.”

Minutes played up front

“My best seasons have been as a forward; I feel very comfortable there. I can play wherever I’m told -I’m also comfortable as a winger. As a forward, I have more space, I can take players on more often, and I can make the most of my speed.”

His future

“I am a Valencia CF player, and I'm focused on here. Last year was tough for us, and we had more to give, but this year could be a good one for everyone.”

The start of the LaLiga season

“The team look to be in good shape; we’ve worked very well this week. I’m taking away the positive feeling we have. Preseason games don’t reflect the real picture, because we’ve been training twice a day and the players are more tired. I have great confidence in the team and in what we can achieve.”
