Valencia CF Academy, third in Spain for players developed in professional football
Valencia CF have 38 players trained at the VCF Academy competing in 49 leagues around the world
VCF Alevín A closed out an excellent tournament by securing third place after defeating Real Madrid CF.
The team delivered a strong performance throughout the weekend at LaLiga FC Futures, coming very close to reaching the final once again and showcasing the competitive level of Valencia’s youth academy.
After an excellent group stage (undefeated and conceding only one goal), Nacho Tarín’s team overcame FC Barcelona in the quarterfinals (3-1). In the semifinals, the Valencian side fought hard but couldn’t get past Sevilla FC (1-2). Still, VCF managed to finish the tournament on a high note by defeating Real Madrid CF in a penalty shootout in the third-place match.
With this result, Valencia CF continues to establish itself among the best teams in the category. This marks the third time in the last four years that the VCF Academy has reached the semifinals—finishing as runner-up in 2022, champions in 2024, and now third in 2025.
