The VCF Academy has completed a great participation in the COTIF Promeses, a prestigious tournament that takes place in parallel to the COTIF U20 where this edition VCF Juvenil A has performed at a good level reaching the semifinals, with the three participating teams on the podium in their respective categories.
CHAMPIONS
Valencia CF has maintained its idyll with the COTIF Promises in the youth category, winning the championship as in the four previous editions. The team coached by Alfredo Ramos won the final against 380 Academy with an epic comeback. After reaching halftime with 0-2 on the scoreboard, the Valencianistas turned the game around with three goals in the final stretch of the game. With this thrilling victory in the decisive match, the VCF Academy players closed a COTIF Promeses not for the faint-hearted, with tight scores and penalty shootouts like the one in the semifinals against Sevilla FC and the one in the quarterfinals against Cádiz CF. The great tournament carried out by the whole team to win the title, also led to individual awards for Aritz Gandia and Sergio Corella, who were part of the ideal 8 of the tournament.
It is worth remembering that this summer Valencia CF was proclaimed champion of another of the most prestigious tournaments of the category, LaLiga FC Futures.
THIRD PLACE FOR VALENCIA CF U-9
For its part, the benjamín achieved the bronze position after winning the match for third and fourth place against 380 Academy by 1-0. The Valencianistas recovered well from the defeat in the semifinals against La Ribera Academy to finish with a good taste in the mouth in which the team has excelled both for the good collective play and the individual level shown.
