Valencia CF and the Fundació VCF, within the framework of the 1st anniversary of the tragic flash floods of October 29, 2024, wanted to pay an eternal tribute to the people affected with the mural “Units Com Sempre” located in the tunnel of Mestalla, which connects the dressing rooms with the staircase leading to the pitch.
Joining this gesture by the Club is the exhibition “Units Com Sempre”, also linked to the flash floods, which can be visited until November 5 in the VIP Box at Mestalla.
In addition to panels with photographs and explanatory texts, jerseys donated by Spanish and foreign clubs at the time in the aftermath of the flash floods are on display. Both the mural in the tunnel and the exhibition in the VIP Box are included in the stadium tour route.
The mural and the exhibition add to the many heartfelt gestures by the Club, such as, during the Valencia CF – Villarreal CF match on Saturday 25, the minute of silence, the string sextet performing the Regional Anthem, the use of the Senyera kit, and the players walking out with children from Escoles VCF affected by the flash floods; and, on the 29th, the flags flown at half-mast at Mestalla, the minutes of silence held during training sessions of the men’s and women’s first teams and the Academy, and the tribute by the Valencia CF captains visiting the Pont de la Solidaritat and placing a Senyera jersey with the motto “Units Com Sempre”.
