Valencia CF join Fundación Aladina’s ‘Pañuelo Challenge’ campaign to raise awareness of childhood cancer
Every February 15 marks the ‘World Childhood Cancer Day’
This Sunday, February 15, marks World Childhood Cancer Day and at Valencia CF and the Fundació VCF we want to join the solidarity campaign ‘Pañuelo Challenge’ by Fundación Aladina to raise awareness of childhood cancer and pay tribute to the children and their families who face this tough disease.
A collaboration that has been personalised through the captains of the Valencia CF men’s and women’s first teams, José Luis Gayà and Pauleta Sancho, as well as the Club’s mascot.
Every year, thousands of children and teenagers in Spain receive a cancer diagnosis. At Fundación Aladina they have been fighting by their side for more than 20 years and they know that the road is hard, but also that no one should walk it alone. Join at fundacionaladina.org.
Fundación Aladina, which is an ‘ADN Mestalla Solidari’ entity, is already present in Valencia in five hospitals - Clínico, La Fe, Aguasvivas, Consuelo and Hermanas Hospitalarias - through its comprehensive support programmes for children and teenagers with cancer and their families.
