A Special players' week to complete the VCF Academy World Cup

Alongside the VCF Academy World Cup, the Ciutat Esportiva will also host Players’ Week, bringing together around 100 players for specialised development programmes as part of the U14 Players’ Draft and the U16 Elite Camp.

From June 22 to 28, players selected from Valencia CF Academy Programs across the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania will enjoy an intensive development week, experiencing what it is like to train and compete under the guidance of VCF Academy’s professional coaches. Recognised both nationally and internationally, the VCF Academy is a benchmark in developing players capable of performing at the highest level.

The players taking part in the VCF Academy Elite Camp have been identified through a season-long monitoring process carried out across Valencia CF Academy Programs in the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania. Additional participants have been selected from the club’s Training Experiences, VCF Soccer Camps and international clubs partnered with Valencia CF as Technical Partner. 

The introduction of the U14 Players’ Draft this year reflects ourcommitment to further developing the VCF Academy Pathway and strengthening thelong-term tracking and monitoring of players within our VCF Academy Programs,” says Jordi Seguí, coach within theVCF Academy Programs.

“Many of these players have beenpart of this development pathway from a young age through the visits of ourtechnical coordinators to Valencia CF projects worldwide, participation in theVCF Academy World Cup and the various Training Experiences hosted in Valencia,” he adds.

The VCF Academy World Cup and Players’ Week, alongside VCF Camps, VCF Academies, Technical Partners, the Coaches Convention, clinics and Training Experiences, form part of the extensive VCF Academy Programs network, which each year engages more than 5,000 players from over 50 countries around the world.
