The VCF Academies, the VCF Camps around the world, the Training Experiences at Valencia CF’s Ciudad Deportiva, the VCF Academy Coaches Convention, the VCF Academy World Cup, and the Clinics… all form part of the VCF Academy Programs, which every season welcome more than 5,000 players from 50 different countries.
THE FIRST VCF ACADEMY IN MEXICO IS NOW A REALITY

The Club continues its expansion in a strategic market on the American continent
This week, the ball has started rolling at the first VCF Academy Mexico, an Academy that allows Valencia CF to continue growing in a strategic market in North America. In addition, Mexico will host the 2026 World Cup alongside the USA and Canada, countries where Valencia CF already has several ongoing projects and established academies.

Located at Tecnológico de Monterrey – Campus Morelia, this first VCF Academy Mexico opened its doors this week with an official launch event attended by Joan Aguado, Head of VCF Academy Programs, and David López, coach of the VCF Academy in Valencia, who will oversee the methodology of the Club’s new training center in the capital of the state of Michoacán.

The launch of this first VCF Academy Mexico marks another step in consolidating Valencia CF’s presence in Mexico, a country where since March 2024 several VCF Camps have been held (León, Querétaro, Puebla, and Morelia) and where the men’s first team also played a friendly match against the senior national team.

The new VCF Academy Mexico in Morelia is launched in collaboration with NETA Agencia Deportiva and will provide ongoing activity throughout the entire season, combined with different VCF Camps organized in other locations in Mexico, such as the one scheduled for next November in San Luis Potosí, also in partnership with NETA Agencia Deportiva.

The VCF Academy Morelia project will be directly supervised by the technical managers of the VCF Academy Programs and will have a VCF Academy coach present throughout the season.

Valencia CF’s presence in Mexico also has a sentimental component linked to the Club’s history, as the descendants of Octavio Augusto Milego, the first president of Valencia CF, currently reside in Mexico.

VCF Academy Mexico joins the different VCF Academies that Valencia CF has in several strategic markets across America, Europe, and Asia, which help extend the Club’s brand image and the working methodology of the VCF Academy - ranked the fourth-best academy in Europe for developing players to compete at the elite level, according to the CIES Football Observatory.
