Match Report: VCF Femenino return to winning ways against Madrid CFF (2-0)

VCF Femenino were off to a positive start in the opening 15 minutes with great positioning all over the pitch looking to dictate play and nullify the opposition.

VCF Femenino were breaking into the opposition box with ease but they lacked accuracy in their final pass to put Paola under pressure.  

Ana Torrodà broke the deadllock on 20 minutes with a fine finish following a Marta Carro ball recovery who set up Ana Torroda with a slick pass into the number 21 who made no mistake and opened the scoring.

The opposition came close to equalising with successive headers from a corner kick two minutes later but the VCF Femenino backline manged to clear the danger.

VCF Femenino were being solid in attack and in defense and the first half finished 1-0 for VCF Femenino.

Enith produced heroics between the posts for VCF Femenino keeping out a Priscila spot-kick on 50 minutes and Paola stopped Jansen from putting VCF Femenino 2-0 up at the other end only eight minutes later.

Asun came close to scoring over the hour mark, but her effort fizzed jus wide of the left-hand as VCF Femenino shook off Madrid CFF’s early pressure.

Cadela completed the scoring with little under 15 minutes of normal time plus stoppage time left to play inside the six yard box showing her goal poaching instincts with a follw-up effort after a Paola stop to put VCF Femenino two goals to the good.

VCF Femenino kept possesion in attacking areas and the game ended in a 2-0 win for VCF Femenino . A long-awaited return to winning ways dating back to the 10th of February against EDF Logroño (3-2) at the Antonio Puchades.
