match Report: Valiant Valencia CF return to winning ways amidst heartfelt tribute (4-2)

Valencia CF made a trip to Pamplona to visit Club Atletico Osasuna on Friday Night Football on the 7th of October at El Sadar on Matchday 8 of LaLiga.
The game saw a sloppy start at a high tempo at both ends with the two sides looking to earn a foothold.

Valencia CF set their stalls out in defence after the go-ahead goal withstanding a few forays forward from the opposition.
Illaix Moriba forced the opposition keeper into a stop on the stroke of halftime.

Valencia CF came out of the blocks in the second half looking to double their advantage by taking the game to the opposition.
Edinson Cavani almost put Valencia CF two goals to the good but his effort was blocked away by Unai García
Mouctar Diakhaby made it 0-2 for Valencia CF who smartly poked it home pouncing on a CA Osasuna let-off at the back.
The hosts were awarded a spot-kick for a bad foul on Kike which Chimy Avila blazed over the bar close to the hour mark.
Valencia CF were awarded a penalty at the other end as CA Osasuna were reduced to ten men.
Alas, Cavani crashed his 12-yard effort against the crossbar with twenty minutes of regulation time plus stoppage time left to go.
Samuel Lino almost added a third goal following a brilliant break but his effort fizzed just wide of the post.
CA Osasuna pulled one back minutes after Diakhaby's dismissal for a second yellow card.
Valencia CF resolutely held out to come away with a much-needed away win of the season as the game ended in a 0-2 win for Valencia CF.
