VCF Femenino had a good start to the game with a couple of dangerous breaks into the opposition box. Alas, it was the opposition who got themselves in front through Kerolin and Geyse doubled their lead halfway through the first half.
Candela reduced the two-goal deficit on 40 minutes with a follow-up volley beyond Paola after a defensive clearance off an Ana Torrodà corner kick.
Bea Beltrán came mighty close to making it 2-2 for VCF Femenino from 12 yards out, but Paola kept it out and the first half finished 1-2 to Madrid CFF.
Geyse was sent off for a double booking on 50 minutes as VCF Femenino tried to make their numerical advantage pay and they almost did on the hour mark. Marta Carro crashed the ball against the crossbar arriving from deep.
VCF Femenino penned Madrid CFF back inside their own box but Gabi made it 1-3 to the away side.
Andrea Esteban’s side kept on pushing but the remainder of the half played out without further incidents and the game finished 1-3 to Madrid CFF.
