VCF Femenino will welcome Madrid CFF on Saturday 17th of April at 5 pm kick-off time at the Antonio Puchades on Matchday 26 of Primera Iberdrola 2020-2021.
José Bargaues’ side lie 10th on 27 points from 25 matchdays while Óscar Fernández's side are sitting in 4th position on 48 points from 24 matchdays with one game in hand.
VCF Femenino are coming into the match after fighting back to a 3-3 draw coming from three goals behind. Madrid CFF are coming into the match off the back of a 2-4 home loss to UD Granadilla. The reverse fixture saw VCF Femenino fall to a 4-1 away loss.
VCF Femenino midfielder, Florencia Bonsegundo, caught up with VCF Media to share her pre-match thoughts ahead of Saturday's game:
“Madrid CFF are a really well-rounded and competitive side. They’re up there fighting for the Champions League places so they’re going to be a really tough side to beat. But we have that extra of playing at home knowing that the opponents come here to do battle.
It’s going to be a really good game so claiming all three points is going to be really important on the mental side of things and table wise to aim high up the table so hopefully, we can take the win.
We know that we’re up against a fairly well-rounded opposition, we need to focus on deadball situations, and play with calmness.
We’re playing very well at home with that extra of playing at the Puchades, we adjusted some small details after the break and I think it’s going to be an interesting match”.
