José Bargues’ side want to maintain the eight position in the table as they are on 43 points from 32 fixtures while María Pry’s side lie in third place on 69 points from 32 fixtures.
The reverse fixture finished in a 2-3 slim loss to Levante UD at the Ciudad Deportiva with Jansen and Esther González at the double for either side alas, Levante UD netted a last gasp winner from 12 yards out through Eva Navarro.
Both sides are coming into the Teika derby off the back of a win. Valencia CF Femenino beat Sporting Club Huelva by 3-1 and cross-town opposition, Levante UD Femenino followed suit against Athletic Club with a 4-0 win.

Valencia CF Femenino players, Paula Guerrero and Asun Martínez, shared their thoughts ahead of the derby on VCF Media:
Paula Guerrero:
“First of all the motivation of playing a derby; which in itself; it’s an extra motivation for all the players and besides we are raring to play against them because we have the eighth place at stake we’re going to fight for it with grit”.
I think we have evolved a lot throughout the season and I think that it’s going to shine through when we play on Sunday because we’re coming into it at a different stage in the season.
Bottom line, we all know each other and I think that we’re going to come out onto the pitch with more togetherness than in the reverse fixture”.
Asun Martínez:
The team are really up for it and motivated. We face every game in the same way but a derby has a plus to it. On a personal note I like playing even more so if it’s a derby.
Like you said, we have objectives to play for which is an eighth place finish and we want to meet it.
I think is going to be an entertaining game to watch and I think that we’re going to win.
