Director of VCF Foundation inaugurates exhibition in tribute to the club's 1970/71 LaLiga title win
Back in June, Valencia CF -through the VCF Foundation- and El Corte Inglés inaugurated the '50 anys junts' exhibition in tribute to the club's 1970/71 LaLiga title win.
On September 10th, the two entities, with the collaboration again of the VCF Footballers Association, moved the exhibition on to a new location at the Avenida de Francia El Corte Inglés store, where it will remain until October 12th.
The previous venue used, on Pintor Sorolla street, was the first El Corte Inglés department store to open its doors in the Valencia region, coincidentally also 50 years ago. It's opening came just days after the famous league title win.

At the presentation event, four of the members of the 1971 squad were present: Pepe Claramunt, José Vicente Forment, Francisco Vidagany and Sergio Manzanera. The president of the time, the late Julio de Miguel, was represented by his children Julio, Mari Carmen and José Carlos.
Also present were club ambassador Ricardo Arias and VCF Footballers Association president Fernando Giner, as well as VCF Foundation executive director Teo Swee Wei, who gave a short speech.
“Respecting our legends means respecting our history. Ours is a history with a strong VCF DNA and values such as commitment, effort and loyalty. We must keep this alive in the memory of both old and young Valencianistas," he told those present.
Pau Pérez Rico, Regional Director of Communication and Institutional Relations of El Corte Inglés, explained that “this connection began with a match sponsored by El Corte Inglés in 1971, between Yugoslavian champions Partizan Belgrade and Spanish champions Valencia CF. During these 50 years, the link has continued with many other initiatives, and a large part of our workforce are Valencianistas."
The act ended with pop group Bombai singing their Valencia CF Centennary anthem, as well as 'Tu has cambiado,' the official song of the 50th Anniversary of El Corte Inglés in Valencia.
