Danone Nations Cup winners decided at the Ciudad Deportiva
The Final Stage of the 2019 Danone Nations Cup took place at the Ciudad Deportiva this past weekend, with 20 teams competing in the prestigious tournament at 'Alevin' level for children aged between 10 and 12 years old. The competition was part of the club's Centenary celebrations.
FC Barcelona won the men's category, with RCD Espanyol victorious in the women's category.Valencia CF would go out at the semifinal stage in both, bested by the eventual winners of their respective classes.
Both finals were decided by penalties, as FC Barcelona won a shootout against Villarreal and RCD Espanyol against Atletico Madrid. The winners will represent Spain in the World Final of the Danone Nations Cup at the RCDE Stadium on October 12th.
