Ugrinic: "I was clear about coming to Valencia CF"
The new signing speaks after touching down in Valencia
Filip Ugrinic talked to VCF Media upon his arrival to sign for Valencia CF, giving his first thoughts on an exciting move.
His arrival on Friday
I'm very happy and very blessed to be here. I'm very proud to be part of this club and now we can start our work. Tomorrow and in two days' time, I will train alone, and then on Tuesday I will train with the team. I was a little bit surprised by the offer, but in a positive way, and I didn't have to think too much before making my choice, because of the history of the club, the fans and the stadium. It was clear for me that I wanted to join this club.
A positive reference from Ricardo Costa
I've heard a lot of good things and I think every player knows Valencia CF. In LaLiga they're one of the best clubs, with a great history and with good fans. I've talked with Ricardo Costa about Valencia CF and he only told me good things.
A tough season ahead
It's a big challenge for us, but with a lot of motivation and work I think it could be a great season.
How he describes himself as a player
I think I'm a physical player, box-to-box, who can fight, who play using his emotions. And I think we can match well together.
His desire to play at Mestalla
I can't wait to meet the fans, to feel the atmosphere. I've heard a lot of things about the stadium. Also, some former players from Young Boys, I think a few years ago, played here. And they said it's a crazy atmosphere, so I'm looking forward to that.
A message to the fans
Dear Valencia CF fans: I'm really happy to join your club. I can't wait to start, and we will do everything on the pitch to achieve our goals. See you soon at Mestalla. Amunt Valencia!
