The Valencia CF midfielder, the main guest on l’Informatiu of VCF Media Radio
The Valencianista midfielder, Pepelu, was the main guest on l’Informatiu of VCF Media Radio to talk about the derby against Levante UD. In the interview he highlighted the desire to get the win and to give continuity to the good feelings from the match against Real Betis.
Derby
“We are looking forward to the match. It is a special match for me and for the city. We hope it will be a good day. It will be a balanced match. Levante UD are a good team and are competing very well. A derby is a derby, they are different matches. We have to know how to manage it and maximise our strengths.”
Feelings
“After the last match against Real Betis, the team found a bit of the path of good play, of what it has to be, and this break has made us even more eager for the match to arrive and to give continuity.”
Past at Levante UD
“It is going to be very special because of everything it means. The last derby was my first and only year in LaLiga with Levante UD. A derby is always special and it was a balanced match.”
Mestalla, sold out
“It is a very difficult stadium for all teams and that has been shown historically. Mestalla always helps a lot, it is incredible what the fans transmit. It has to be a special night and we are sure that Mestalla will not disappoint and will help the team a lot. Mestalla is decisive. We are very grateful and with the intention of giving everything to get the victory.”
Tactical variations in midfield
“As a team we can have different tactical variations and the other day we tried a different one. Corberán always likes to ‘find the key’ and it worked very well. We felt very comfortable and each of us was able to maximise our strengths. Helping the team from each position made it possible to see a Valencia CF with a very good identity.”
Turning point
“If we win, it can be one. Victories strengthen you a lot and we have gone several matchdays without getting them. Achieving it in a derby can mean that turning point and looking upwards.”
