Both footballers collected the award during the ceremony held at the Antonio Cabeza Auditorium in Paterna. In previous editions, other Valencia-related figures have also been recognized with this award, including Hugo Duro, Pepelu, Diakhaby, Carlos Soler, Hugo Guillamón, Cristhian Mosquera, Ferran Torres, Fernando Gómez, Carboni, Djukic, Angulo, Robert Fernández, Cañizares, Palop, Ochotorena, and Marcelino García Toral.
