The Valencia CF coach talks after the 2-2 result against Deportivo Alavés
The club installs decalogue of values in the VCF Academy and themes profiles on social media
Valencia CF have further increased content and action for VCF WORLD – ZERO DISCRIMINATION, an awareness campaign against abuse and discrimination such as racism, bullying and homophobia. The move comes in the run-up to March 1st, which is Zero Discrimination Day.
The club have placed the decalogue against discrimination, which integrates the values and attitudes to make better people, at the Ciudad Deportiva, so that the young players at the VCF Academy become familiar with it. The aim is to pursue attitudinal excellence from the grassroots to the elite, representing the club in an integral way.
"The club have always given a lot of importance to the transmitting of values. They have been very demanding in the fact that, besides being footballers, you have to develop as a person. Here they have helped us grow and work on academic issues, fighting against any type of discrimination," says first-team player Jesús Vázquez.
María Ángeles Atienzar, Head of the Psychoeducational department at the VCF Academy and the residence, says of the decision to give prominence to the decalogue that "It is very good news. It is a declaration of intent because this is the home of a lot of players and families.”
PROTAGONISM ON ALL SOCIAL NETWORK PROFILES
In addition, Valencia CF have dedicated the banner of the club's social media profiles and digital platforms to the slogan of the VCF WORLD – ZERO DISCRIMINATION campaign. The club and the VCF Foundation bring together all the initiatives carried out for this purpose, to contribute positively to society in a commitment that has accompanied the club since its founding in 1919.
Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation work to help the most vulnerable groups and demonstrate their firm position against any form of discrimination with actions.
