The Trofeu Taronja debuts new sustainable design made from 80% reused wood from the stalls of Plaza Redonda

Check out the details of the trophy that will be awarded to the winner of the Valencia CF - Eintracht Frankfurt match.
The Trofeu Taronja will host its 52nd edition in a sustainable and updated character. On Saturday, the winner of the Valencia CF - Eintracht Frankfurt match will receive a trophy at Mestalla with a renewed design with respect to previous editions and 80% of which has been made with recycled materials.
The main element of the trophy is an orange-colored methacrylate-covered bat, which honors the personality of this traditional summer event and reflects the shades of the Mediterranean sunset, a hallmark of our land's identity.
The inside of the bat, a characteristic element of our coat of arms, is made of reused wood from the counters of the Plaza Redonda in Valencia, which has been cut out and rests on a base of the same material, thus giving prominence to the history and DNA of our city.
Taking advantage of this international tournament, Valencia CF projects this unique space of great architectural value and embedded in the historic center of Valencia since the first half of the nineteenth century while betting on giving a second life to the wood recovered from its benches.
