The Nou Mestalla completes the installation of the compression ring and the 50 pillars that will support the large roof
In addition, the radial cables that will support the roof itself are currently being installed
The placement of these 38-meter-high elements marks the start of a new construction phase, in line with the planned project schedule
This Monday, December 22, 2025, the installation of the exterior pillars that will support the roof of the Nou Mestalla began.
These components, 38 meters high and weighing more than 30 tons, have been arriving over recent weeks from the Horta Coslada plant in Arteixo (Galicia) and, as of today, are being positioned onto their anchorages, thus achieving a key milestone foreseen in the construction timeline.
Over the coming weeks, the 50 S355 steel pillars will be installed, along with other key elements, thereby continuing the work carried out prior to assembling the roof structure, such as hydrodemolition, piling, and the reinforcement of pillars.
