R. Saravia: “Coming to Valencia CF is a very important opportunity and I am very motivated to help the team”
First statements from the new Valencianista defender
The full-back from Córdoba (Argentina), Renzo Saravia, speaks to VCF Media after his signing for Valencia CF until the end of the current campaign. In this interview, the Argentine defender shows himself to be very satisfied, motivated and eager to help the team in this stretch of the season.
Arrival at Valencia CF
“I am happy, very pleased with this opportunity at the Club and very motivated for what is coming. The feelings are very good, also the first hours getting to know the Club’s facilities. I have just met my teammates. I had other interesting offers, but when Valencia CF appeared I didn’t hesitate for a minute. It is a very important opportunity for me. Also coming to LALIGA and playing with the best. Happy with the decision. My idea will always be to give my best.”
Argentine connection
“I know Guido from the Argentina national team, we shared a Copa América. I have also spoken with Lucas and he has told me wonderful things about the Club and the fans.”
Versatility
“I am a defender who can play both as a right-back and as a right-sided ‘stopper’, also performing the role of a third centre-back - I have done it at several clubs. I am a fairly aggressive player, I like to be a protagonist, with a winning mentality. I hope to contribute my ‘grain of sand’ to the Club and help my teammates.”
Experience
“I am a footballer who has played quite a lot of matches at big clubs.”
Valencia CF-Córdoba (Argentina)
“Valencia CF has a very special history with players from Córdoba. Mario Kempes, Pablo Aimar, Beltrán and now I join them. Every player from Córdoba who has come here has left a good image. The Argentine footballer has very special characteristics: hardworking, with strong character and the desire to win. That goes hand in hand with the Valencia CF fans.”
Mestalla
“I am very eager to meet the fans, the stadium… I am going to represent the jersey very well, through attitude and ‘garra’, and also tactically.”
Message to the fans
“I ask them to keep supporting us because they have always done so. It is their tradition to be loyal to the team and this will not be the exception. Very important matches are coming and we have to stay all together to achieve the objectives.”
