The midfielder rues the loss to Girona FC

Valencia CF's Pepelu talked to VCF Media following the defeat to Girona FC, giving his thoughts on the game.

Assessing the game

“The team are very hurt. We knew we were coming off a tough loss and we had to take another step forward. We didn't come out the way we should have, and suffering another blow from a set piece hurts. We have to take a close look at it.”

Set piece

“We have to improve from set pieces; it's costing us a lot of points. We have to keep improving and never stop trying.”

The upcoming international break

“All defeats hurt. Now there's an international break, and we have to analyse what we need to improve and come back with a clear head for the next game.”
