The pre-match will be marked by institutional events, identity symbols and the recognition of representative groups
Valencia CF strengthens its commitment to Valencian culture and society at the Trofeu Taronja

This Saturday, August 9th, at 9:00pm, Valencia CF will host the 53rd edition of the Trofeu Taronja. A special match that will serve not only as the prelude to the new season but also as a tribute to Valencian music and traditions.
After the team’s arrival at 7:30pm, attendees will be able to enjoy a very special evening at Mestalla. The players will take to the pitch for the traditional team photo, accompanied by visual effects.
One of the most symbolic moments will be the display of the Antonio Puchades banner, carried by young players from the VCF Academy, just before the performance of the Regional Anthem of the Comunitat Valenciana by more than 200 musicians from bands affected by the DANA floods, along with a tenor, creating a deeply emotional collective moment.
Just before kick-off, a minute’s silence will be held in memory of Julián Carabantes. His two great passions - the Fallas and Valencia CF - will come together in a heartfelt tribute.
As the final highlight, during halftime the stadium will pay tribute to the VCF Inclusivo team, champions of the ‘Genuine Cup Houston’, accompanied by the participating music bands. A fitting end to a night in which emotion, tradition, and sentiment will once again come together at Mestalla.
