Valencia CF captain José Luis Gayà continues to add to his legacy at the club. This time, he has become the youngest player in the 'top 30' of the 5 big leagues with the longest uninterrupted stint in the first team of his club. The 28.7-year-old Valencia CF full-back has been in the first team for 10 and a half seasons.
Gayà is a permanent fixture for leadership, effort, commitment and exemplary for the team coached by Rubén Baraja. The player from Pedreguer, since his debut in La Liga with the first team in the 2013-2014 season, has become one of the mainstays in the dressing room, both on and off the pitch. This is a fact that is backed up every weekend in the Valencia CF line-ups.
According to CIES Football Observatory, the prestigious website specialising in football data, Gayà is the 28th player in the five major European leagues with the longest uninterrupted stint in the first team of his current club and is also the youngest in the 'top 30' at 28.7 years of age.
