Diego López: "I'm really happy with what we Valencia CF players are contributing to the Spanish national team"
The Valencia CF forward is through to the U21 EURO quarter-finals
A total of more than 120 football coaches from the United Kingdown participated in the webinars that the VCF Academy, in collaboration with Inspiresport, carried out in recent weeks to explain the working methods of the club's youth setup.
A single session had originally been scheduled, but within a few hours all of the available places were filled, and a second day was quickly arranged.
In the webinars, various VCF Academy coaches explained the work methodology that is carried out at the Ciudad Deportiva and in the various VCF Soccer Schools distributed around the world. The VCF Academy has become one of the most well-regarded youth setups internationally, and the CIES Football Observatory has included it in the Top 5 of their ranking for Europe for the last two years.
"The sessions have been a great experience," explains Toni Navarro, technical coordinator of the VCF International Academies.
"The participants have shown great interest in our working methods, and were surprised above all by our way of interpreting the concept of success -in which we prioritise a player's development over results," says Navarro, one of the speakers in this double webinar in which various aspects of the different stages of training were detailed.
Interest in the working methods of the VCF Academy is growing, especially in the United Kingdom, where in recent seasons players who came up through the VCF Academy, such as David Silva, Pablo Hernández, Vicente Guaita and Ferran Torres, have featured in the Premier League.
