Valencia CF to face Athletic Club in Copa del Rey semi-final
The tie will be played over two legs
Valencia CF will face Athletic Club in the semifinals of the Copa del Rey next Thursday as it was announced in Friday’s draw.
The tie will be played over two legs, the first leg on Thursday, February 10th at San Mamés (9:30pm CET) and the second leg at Mestalla on March the 2nd (9:00pm CET).
For the first time in the history of the competition, the away goals rule will be abolished for the away goals scored on the aggregate scoreline over the double-legged tie.
Athletic Club are sitting in ninth position in the LaLiga table having reached the semifinals of the Copa del Rey after knocking out Atlético Mancha Real, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF.
