Mestalla brimming with emotions running high
Relive the emotional events that took place in the run-up to Valencia CF-Real Betis to pay tribute to the victims and those affected by the tragic flash floods
Valencia CF’s social activities will begin 2021 in the same way that they ended 2020: Helping those who need it most. After donating staple foodstuffs, Christmas products and stews to more than 300 families on December 23rd in the 'Nit Nadalenca' initiative with the Banco de Alimentos, and distributing more than 2,000 menus prepared by World Central Kitchen on Christmas Eve, -the club are now preparing another large-scale charitable day.
On Tuesday, January 5th, on the eve of Spain’s ‘Three Kings Day,’ Valencia CF will make a donation of toys to around 300 children from families who regularly use the meal distribution initiative, which has been run since last May at Mestalla.
The action will take place from 5pm to 8pm, at gates A4 and A5 of the stadium. There will be a generous contribution from the VCF Foundation, which will distribute more than 300 bags with footballs and toys collected over recent few weeks at the Central Plaza of Nuevo Centro through the ‘Métele un gol a la pobreza’ campaign.
Papa John’s and LaMburguesa will participate in the event with a significant donation of food, whilst Hasbro will make a donation of toys and the Banco de Alimentos will donate nearly 300 ‘roscon de Reyes’ cakes. In addition, CaixaBank and the “la Caixa” Foundation will provide “la Caixa” volunteers, who will work together with the volunteers who are Valencia CF employees.
