Valencia CF and Agrupació de Penyes help fans support the team in behind-closed-doors games
Over the course of its 97 years of existence, Mestalla has hosted over a thousand top flight games, experienced magical Champions League nights, seen unforgettable Copa del Rey contests and much more. One of the main characteristics of the stadium, besides its steep stands and location in the heart of the city of Valencia, is the atmosphere provided by the devoted fans who attend each game.
Whilst the upcoming LaLiga games will be held behind closed doors, Mestalla is still going to have an impact. Valencia CF, with the collaboration of the Agrupació de Penyes, are putting together a campaign so that ‘peñas’ who are part of the supporters group association can provide colour to the stadium with their shirts, scarves and other club emblems, to spur on the team.
Even though they cannot be there in person, devoted Valencia CF fans can still make their presence felt when LaLiga returns. Peñas will receive more information through the Agrupació.
