Remarkable attendance in Mestalla centenary season

Mestalla reaches average attendance of 40,828 spectators

The 2022-23 season has been one of the most special at the Camp de Mestalla, as 20 May marked the 100th anniversary of the inauguration of the stadium. This season, the fans have once again demonstrated their passion and have given the best possible gift to the 100-year-old ground an outstanding attendance throughout the season.

This season, after several years without doing so due to different circumstances, Valencia CF  began their season ticket campaign to new registrations and the reception was magnificent, reaching a total number of 36,230 season ticket holders. With this base, from the first day of competition, the attendance at Mestalla has been outstanding throughout the season, reaching an average attendance of 40,828 in the season of its centenary.

Another addition to this season has been the sale of tickets to the general public in blocks. In August, the Club opened the period for the purchase of tickets for all the matches in the first half of the season, while in December the same was done for the rest of the matches until the end of LaLiga. Thanks to this, fans have been able to organise themselves in advance and ticket sales have increased, with an average of more than 8,000 tickets sold.

The response from the Valencia CF fans this season has been more than remarkable, reaching the figure of over 40,000 spectators in half of the matches played at Mestalla, including the last four LaLiga matches in which the Mestalla crowrd helped the team to claim valuable points in the fight to meet the objective.

The games with the highest attendance at the Mestalla this season have been the LaLiga matches against Real Madrid CF, FC Barcelona, RCD Espanyol, Villarreal CF and Atletico Madrid, along with the Copa del Rey clash against Athletic Club.
