Marcelino's side will be looking to start their Centenary campaign against Atlético de Madrid

Valencia CF and Atlético de Madrid will start their respective LaLiga campaigns playing Monday Night Football in what will be a great game at 20:00 h kick-off time in Mestalla on Matchday 1 of LaLiga.

Valencia CF and Atlético de Madrid have played 100 times at Mestalla and the home side have won 51 times with 180 goals in favour and 109 against.

The first league match played against Atlético de Madrid in Mestalla was held in 1935. On that occasion, the home team won 2-0 through goals from Torredeflot and Richart. The biggest win in the Primera División was in 1949, when VCF won 6-0 via Segui (4), Mena and Igoa.
