Paulista: "We were strong where we had to be"
Gabriel Paulista talked to VCF Media to analyse what happened in the match against UD Las Palmas on Matchday 2 of the LaLiga EA Sports season

A reward for hard work
This win is the fruit of hard work. We had a very good preseason, with a lot of effort and insisting on several moves that are now working out in matches. We must keep going, as well as celebrate these two victories -especially the last one against a very difficult opponent away from home. Today was also a difficult match against a team that play the ball well and like to have possession. However, we were able to be forceful, be strong where we had to be, and with the ball we were able to play better, especially in the second half. Now we will celebrate this great victory and next weekend we've got another game at home, where we can't drop points. We have to make Mestalla a fortress like it was 2-3 years ago. The kids are going to help us a lot to achieve that because they have a lot of desire and a lot of energy.
Support from the fans
I have no words for them. They are always behind us. Whether things go well or badly, Mestalla is always full. I hope it continues like this until the end of the season and that, with an important aim for us, we can all celebrate together at the end of a very successful season.
Defensive solidity
Finishing with a clean sheet gives us more confidence. It helps us and gives us more confidence when it comes to playing and defending. We have to keep going. We are working on this. We worked very hard throughout the week to avoid making mistakes and now we have to keep up all that we are doing and give it continuity.
