Guedes: "I was out for a long time, and now I am using every moment to help the team"
Gonçalo Guedes is in sensational form in the final run-in of the 2018/19 season, with eight goals scored in the last ten games. The Portuguese was on target twice on Matchday 33, earning Valencia CF 3 valuable points against Real Betis.
Following the game, the versatile attacker spoke to VCF Media to give his thoughts on the contest and his excellent scoring run.
"We are very happy with the win. We knew what Betis' strengths were, and we took advantage of their week points to score two goals. Then we had to hold on to get the result. We want to get into the Champions League, and we are going to do everything possible to achieve that," he said in the mixed zone.
Of his recent spate of goals, Guedes commented that "I was out with an injury for a long time, and now I am using every moment to help the team. I'm feeling very confident. I'm happy to help the team after such a long and difficult recovery period. I've been lucky to score the club's 4,500th goal of all time in LaLiga; for me, it's always important to help the team, and I'm happy about the goals."

Asked about how far this Valencia CF side can go before the season ends, Guedes refused to rule anything out.
"I can't see into the future. We want to go as far as possible, and now we have a very difficult game coming up against Atletico Madrid," said VCF's man of the moment.
