Maxi Gómez ended the first half of the LaLiga season with a matchwinning goal, and now has seven strikes in the league in 2019/20. The team's top scorer in the competition spoke to VCF Media after the game.

"Our objective is to pick up three points after three points. We want to take things game by game. We're on the right track and I hope that this continues."

"It isn't easy. We always want more, and now we have a very difficult game: The Spanish Supercopa. We're going to face it in the same way that we have been for games up until now. My teammates are doing a very good job, and we are going to Saudi Arabia to compete as equals with the other teams."
