Gayà: "We can't wait for tomorrow, it's a fundamental game"

One of the Valencia CF captains, José Luis Gayà, spoke on Monday at the Ciudad Deportiva to give a call to arms ahead of the Champions League game at Mestalla, which sees the club face LOSC Lille.
The first final of the season
We're approaching this game like a final. That's the reality. If we don't win, things would become very difficult in terms of qualifying for the knockout stages. We're preparing for this one as a fundamental game for our Champions League future. It will be very important to start the game with a lot of intensity, and we're preparing very well. We can't wait.
Feeling comfortable at Mestalla
"We don't have any problem. As a player, just like my teammates, I want the fans to get behind us. We want the fans to push us for the entire 90 minutes; we go to other grounds and you can see the difference. Mestalla has always been a tough ground for opposing sides, we've received some spectacular welcomes and its through those that we start to win games. We have to get back in sync with the fans, because that makes everything easier."

Unity at Mestalla
"Mestalla needs to give us a push tomorrow. That's the reality. That will make things easier for us on the pitch, the opposition will feel it -this pressure cooker atmosphere that is so difficult for visiting sides. We have to all push in the same direction, which will make it much easier to earn those important three points."
Team morale
"I think that the team are in good shape. We had a few games that weren't so good, but against Espanyol we turned around a difficult situation, against Sevilla we managed to fight back and in both the Champions League and LaLiga we still have an opportunity. This is only the start; there are a lot more games to play and we have to improve certain aspects, but the dynamic we want is to keep on winning."
