Mestalla hosts the pre-derby event with the coaches and captains of Valencia CF and Levante UD
Corberán and Gayà attended from the Valencia side; Calero and Morales from the ‘granota’ squad
Valencia CF will host Cádiz CF at Mestalla this coming Monday, October 23 at 21:00. A match in which two legends of both clubs stand out, Mario Alberto Kempes at Valencia CF and Jorge Alberto González Barillas 'Mágico' González. Both players wore the number 11 shirt with their respective teams at some point in their careers.

El Matador' was one of the best players in the history of Valencia Club de Fútbol, as well as being one of the top scorers in the Club's history. The Argentine footballer played for VCF during 8 seasons.
Mario Kempes joined the Valencian club in the summer of 1976, thanks to Bernardino Pérez Elizarán 'Pasieguito', who at that time held the position of Technical Director of the Club. From that moment on, the name of Kempes and his game would go down in the history of Valencia CF. In the 8 seasons he spent there, he won 3 titles (Copa del Rey in 1978-79, the Cup Winners' Cup in 1979-80 and the European Super Cup in 1980-81) in which he scored 149 goals in 246 official matches. Also, while playing for Valencia CF, he was World Cup winner with Argentina.

It should be noted that, although he is remembered for wearing the number '10', Kempes also wore the number '11' in numerous matches during his career as a Valencia CF player. For example, in 1978, during a UEFA Cup match between Valencia CF and Arges Pitesti (Romania), Kempes wore the number '11'.

For his part, 'Mágico' González was the '11' of Cádiz CF for 2 seasons in which he became a star for the Cadiz club, a club with which he won promotion to the First Division in 1982.
