Jaume Domènech reached 100 games for Valencia CF in the match against Elche CF. The goalkeeper celebrated the milestone with a clean sheet and a series of saves, and he continues to be the custodian with the most stops in LaLiga this season.
Domènech made his debut in official competition on September 12th, 2015 in a LaLiga match against Sporting Gijon. It would be the first of the 28 games in which he has not let in a goal.
In these 5 seasons, he has played 65 LaLiga games, 25 in the Copa del Rey -with a starring role in the 2019 final-, 9 in the UEFA Champions League and 1 in the Spanish Supercopa.
"I'm proud and honoured to have reached 100 games for Valencia CF. It's a great responsibility. I get things right and I make mistakes as well, but I'm always very happy to represent this club. I'm going to work hard so that there are 100 more games," said the goalkeeper after the 1-0 victory at home.
"We worked very hard to get the three points, and to keep a clean sheet at Mestalla for the first time this season. We are very happy, and it backs up the work that we are doing. Let's see if we can get a run of wins together, because it's important."
