A welcome message for Sergi Canós

We are here today to welcome Sergi Canós. Sergi, I know that this is a very special day for you. I am aware that throughout your 26 years, you have dreamed of this day a lot and I am glad that you are making one of your great childhood dreams come true.

We could talk a lot about your footballing attributes and I'm sure that Valencianistas will enjoy them. But today I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the effort and enthusiasm you have put into wearing the Valencia CF shirt. Welcome to your home, Sergi. Welcome to Mestalla.

How was the process of bringing in Canós?

It has been very long, but as you know we are subject to our financial capacity and that makes the process longer. As soon as we were able to, we took on the operation with all our enthusiasm, our desire and our ability to bring him home.

Is it going to be possible to bring between four and six more signings?

We are working with all our effort and in the best way possible to complete the best squad that we can, given the delicate financial situation we have and which, in some cases, means that as a club you do not depend solely on what you want. We are going to do our best to put together the best squad that we can.
 

Do you consider that the squad is better than last season?

We have made three signings this summer and all three are paying: Both Cenk and Pepelu and now Sergi. As you will understand, we wait until the end of the transfer window to make evaluations, but sometimes the analysis changes depending on the performance of the squad.

As for my forecast: When you are subject to financial and budgetary conditions it is difficult to anticipate what will happen in the next few days, but we are going to put together the best squad possible.
