Baraja: “The Copa del Rey excites us”
The Valencia CF coach talks about the match against CP Parla Escuela-Fair Play
Albert Celades looked ahead to Valencia CF’s game against Villarreal CF in his pre-match press conference, in which he expressed the team’s desire to improve their away form and pick up the three points in the regional derby.
The dynamic of the team
“I'm only focused on tomorrow's game, on having a good game and us facing it in the best way possible. We come into this one off a tough game -like all games in Eibar are. We've had little time to rest and prepare for tomorrow's match, but I'm sure that we are going to do very well. The group are determined to have a great game and change our dynamic away from home. I'm sure that it's going to go very well.”
The game against Villarreal and squad morale
“We try to take our daily lives normally at as big a football club as we are. We have a united group who have got through many difficulties and helped us a lot since we arrived. After many years away, we qualified for the knockout stage of the Champions League, which was thanks to them. This group are always prepared to contribute and overcome adversity. Those who have spent many years here have experienced a lot. We have a good, healthy group and we are looking forward to competing against Villarreal CF.”
European aspirations
We're seeing that every team are struggling for wins. It's all very even. A big team like Sevilla played a relegation battling side yesterday and didn't manage to win. That's been the general trend all year, but especially after the restart. We are all having a lot of difficulty, which is why everything is so even. There are a lot of points remaining and I'm sure that a lot of things are going to happen. We're in time for everything. Things are so evenly matched and competitive, and every side is playing for something -be it at the top or the bottom. It's all very difficult, and we're seeing that in every game of every matchday."
