Mestalla brimming with emotions running high
Relive the emotional events that took place in the run-up to Valencia CF-Real Betis to pay tribute to the victims and those affected by the tragic flash floods
Albert Celades was back in the press room at the Ciudad Deportiva on Saturday to preview Sunday's clash with Osasuna, Valencia CF's Matchday 30 fixture in LaLiga. The coach fielded questions sent in by video by journalists.
The game on Sunday
It's a very important game that we have to focus all of our energy on entering in the best state possible. We need to face it in the best possible way and we hope we can get the win. It is definitely an important fixture, because -even though there are many points still available and we are all struggling to win and to take points, and it's all very tight- the amount of points in play is always reducing and there is a smaller margin for error. We know that tomorrow's game is a very big one for us if we want to get to the top spots."
The team's dynamic
This stage is moving so fast and there is so little time between games, that what you might see as being a little negative in one situation, with two good results you might see differently. I hope that we can have a good week, starting with tomorrow's game, and with a victory everything will be looked at in a different way."
Injuries
"We are still waiting on what happens with Paulista in training. If there is no last minute change, he is going to be in the squad. As for Maxi Gomez, the other day against Real Madrid he complained of a niggle at the end of the first half. But that was it. He is also ok. With Coquelin, we'll see. It depends on how his recovery goes, but with what happened in the game, in which he pulled up, and how we saw he was injured, we feared the worst. We feared we wouldn't have him for the rest of the season, but right now we aren't ruling out him being able to help us in the final games."
Kang In's red card
"It isn't the first time that this has happened. It might be part of the learning process for the young players. I hope it helps him to learn and mature, as with one less player the collective performance is affected.
"In terms of referees, I have made my position clear: We have to focus on the things that we can improve."
