Anil Murthy: "The team showed strong character and personality"
The desire and determination shown by Valencia CF in their game against Sevilla was highlighted by club president Anil Murthy, who spoke to VCF Media Radio after the final whistle.
"The team showed strong character and personality to equalise and almost win the game today. If we continue like this, then I'm sure that we will have the chance to get into the Champions League -which is our objective," he explained.
"I said it last week, and I said it a fortnight ago as well: The players in the squad are all going to have the opportunity to show their quality and effort. Today we had a lot of players out, but everybody gave their all and we played well."
The VCF president also hailed the support of the fans, and looked ahead to the upcoming fixtures for the team.
"I think that Mestalla, and all of the fans, have seen that this team deserved their support throughout the entire game," commented Murthy.
"After this game against Sevilla FC, we now have three games against RCD Espanyol, LOSC Lille and Granada CF. There are three games for us to win before the international break. I hope that we achieve many victories, so that the team are up at the top."
