Get to know Carlos Corberán better
Review his career here: his training in Spain and his journey through Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Greece and England.
Rodrigo's appearance against Granada CF on Matchday 13 was a milestone for the striker, who reached 200 games with the club.
Since his arrival in the summer of 2014, he has played 156 times in LaLiga, 21 times in the Copa del Rey, 14 in the Champions League and 9 in the UEFA Europa League.
Whilst he represents Spain at international level, Rodrigo is the player born outside of the country with the sixteenth most appearances in a Valencia CF shirt.
In his six seasons with VCF, Rodrigo has scored 54 goals and provided 31 assists. His best haul for a single campaign is from the 2017/18 campaign, when he found the net on 19 occasions, whilst he has also been responsible for some hugely important goals, such as that scored in the 2015 Champions League qualifying game first leg against AS Monaco or his last gasp hat trick against Getafe in the Copa del Rey quarter final last season.
This season, Rodrigo has been on target in LaLiga (in a losing effort against Osasuna) and in the Champions League, with his goal against Chelsea giving Valencia CF a first ever win at Stamford Bridge. He has also scored six times for Spain in various competitions since the new season got underway, but will not feature in the upcoming international break due to a back problem picked up in the game against Granada.
Of the current squad, only Dani Parejo (352) and José Luis Gayà (205) have played more games for Valencia CF. Rodrigo is proving to be highly influential to the team, and is ready to continue making an impact in 2019/20 with many more appearances to his name.
