Valencia CF forward Diego López reaches 100 official matches with Valencia CF in the game against Villarreal CF.
The Asturian striker made his debut with the first team on August 29, 2022, against Atlético de Madrid at Mestalla, and scored his first goal with the Valencia CF first team against Real Madrid CF on May 21, 2023, also at the Valencian venue.
Throughout these seasons, the player from Turón has earned the respect and affection of all Valencianismo for his determination, his goal-scoring ability, his competitive character, and his knack for appearing in key moments. In addition, Diego López ranks fourth among the youngest Valencia CF players to reach 15 goals in LALIGA in the 21st century.
Therefore, at 23 years old, he is established as one of the important players for the team coached by Carlos Corberán and a key player for the Spain Under-21 national team, with whom he played in the European Championship last summer and won the gold medal with the Olympic team at the Paris 2024 Games.
